Alexandra Roddan is an award-winning artist and Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) Scholar, recognised through numerous bursaries and exhibitions by the Academy, where she is also an annual exhibitor. She was awarded the RSA John Kinross Scholarship to Florence and selected for the RSA New Contemporaries Exhibition, as well as being a Signature Art Prize Finalist.

Her paintings are held in both public and private collections worldwide, including the Royal Scottish Academy (Edinburgh), Chambers (London), Baillie Gifford HQ (Edinburgh), Artemis Fund Managers (Edinburgh), and Hampden Bank (Edinburgh and London).

Alexandra holds a BA in Fine Art from the University of Edinburgh and trained in classical painting at The Florence Academy of Art.

Her abstract cityscapes invite viewers to join her on an evocative walk through urban life. Drawing inspiration from the geometry, texture, and rhythm of architecture, transport, and human movement, she translates the pulse of each city into dynamic layers of colour and form. Her compositions balance structure and spontaneity—where shapes rise and recede, and colours collide—to capture the beauty, tension, and chaos that define modern city living.
